Mixture Strength Tester - Urea (AdBlue®)

The tester is designed to allow the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid ) to be tested for urea strength. In order for the diesel engine emissions system to function correctly the strength of the DEF solution must be maintained at 32.5% urea; over time the strength of the solution can change by (a) evaporation causing the water component of the solution to reduce, or (b) contamination.Either of these can cause variations in DEF quality and strength which will be flagged up by the engine’s on board diagnostic system (DEF warning light). The Laser 7240 is extremely easy to use and displays a clear pass or fail result regardless of the temperature of the sample

  • Applications: all vehicles fitted with diesel engines using a Urea solution at 32.5% as a diesel exhaust fluid (AdBlue®)
  • Gives a clear pass/fail result
  • Accurate result regardless of sample temperature
  • Easy to use and read. Always wash device internals with distilled water after use

Ethylene Glycol Coolant Hydrometer (Tester )

Hydrometer c\w unabreakable transparent perspex tube

SKU : HEG93
Brand/Country : Laser / UK
s$29.00
Stock :6pcs available

  • Easy to read indicator and designed for modern Ethylene Glycol antifreeze
  • Number of floating discs indicates level of antifreeze protection.
  • Tests at hot and cold temperatures and reads in Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  • Floating orange disc shows over protection and loss of efficiency.
  • 50/50 mixture - the coolant will boil at 107 deg C (228deg F) and freeze at -37deg C (-34deg F)
  • 70/30 mixture - the coolant will boil at 135 deg C (276deg F) and freeze at -64deg C (-84deg F)
  • Solution with more than 70% antifreeze will give less protection.
  • Pure antifreeze will freeze at -21C (-6 F)
  • Note! Distilled or deionized water should be used for Ethylene glycol solutions.
  • City water is often treated with chlorine, which is corrosive, and should be avoided.
  • One of the best method to determine if the coolant is properly mixed is to measure the strength or concentration of the antifreeze with a hydrometer.
  • After checking then you can safely decide to add more antifreeze or distilled water
